How many remember the 1964 James Bond movie "Goldfinger?"

One of the most harrowing scenes in the movie (for 1964 standards) was the death of the character Jill Masterson.  The villain (played by actor Gert Frobe) killed the Bond Girl by painting her body with gold paint, thereby suffocating her.

The producers of this film took this scene very seriously.  They actually painted Eaton's body with a gold glitter.  Believing (like everybody else did) that to cover her whole body with paint would in fact kill her, they diligently left a 6-inch square of unpainted skin on her abdomen.  And, although she appears in the scene to be completely naked, a strategically positioned piece of furniture hides a micro-G-string she was wearing. They also had several doctors on hand in case she had a severe reaction to the paint.

All went well, however, and the scene remains one of the most memorable images of all the James Bond movies.  Oh, by the way, actress Eaton is still alive and healthy at the age of 76!
