
Rain Doesn’t Dampen Spirits at Oneonta City Tree Lighting
Large crowds descended on downtown Oneonta Thursday night for the annual Christmas Tree lighting ceremony. One thing you have to agree on....ONEONTA DOES CHRISTMAS TREES!
Mayor Herzig led the crowd in the annual countdown to the tree lighting.
A long line of little ones snaked across Muller Plaza waiting to get into Santa's Cottage to see the man himself!
Horse wagons pulled families up and down Main Street which was closed for the festivities.
Despite early showers, the night ended up being fairly comfortable.
The sidewalk popcorn vendors were doing a brisk business.
Dancers could be seen in various storefront windows along Main Street.
The young storefront performers drew big crowds to their windows
A team of ice carvers from SUNY Delhi left their handiwork around Main Street.
