Popcorn Balls…A Holiday Treat That “Dan the Man” Has Never Even Heard Of!

We start to see them emerge around Halloween each year.  Big, chewy gooey balls made out of popcorn and syrup.  They are positively addictive and fun to eat (even if dentist's hate them!).

Around Christmas these balls of detectability start popping up wrapped in red or green cellophane.  Many times you can even see them decorating the Christmas trees ni living rooms and parlors of homes from Coast to Coast.

My sidekick in the morning, Dan Cassavaugh ("Dan the Man") was on with me the other day and I mentioned popcorn balls.  He looked at me completely deadpan and said "What are they?"  Not only had he never eaten one of them..he had never even heard of them!

It is always fun (and very interesting) to talk with "the younger set!"   Youth...it is wasted on the young!
