Opportunities for Otsego held their annual Awards Gala on Saturday, April 27 at Foothills Performing Arts Center.

The room was dressed up in gaily colored lights and flowers and made for a warm and intimate setting for the several hundred that attended.  Delicious appetizers  were enjoyed by all before a large, sumptuous buffet was served. Blues Maneuver once again provided the music for dancing, as well as three local performers who entertained in a mid-evening cabaret   The entertainers were D.J. Wooden, Wendy Splicer and Tamiko Williams. A silent auction saw lively bidding and is always a fun part of the fundraising at this event.

This year, OFO honored SUNY Oneonta with their Community Partnership Award, Katherine Booan with the 2013 Youth Award, and Poletta Louis with the 2013 Personal Achievment Award.

Once again I was the emcee for the night.  Of course I took notice to give my personal "Big Chuck" approval to the great food!
