According to Otsego County Fire Wire, it's been a busy week for some area fire departments.

On February 15, the Oneonta Fire Department and volunteer fire fighters in West Oneonta responded to an apartment fire in West Oneonta. While crews were finishing up at that fire, the Oneonta Fire Department was dispatched to a structure fire in progress on Luther Street in the City of Oneonta. A crew from the West Oneonta Dept. helped quell the flames coming from a second story apartment. Crews quickly put an end to that fire which was fortunately contained to that one apartment.
