
NYSP Makes Felony Drug Arrest in Norwich
The New York State Police Community Narcotics Enforcement Team, and Troop “C” Uniform Force with assistance from the Norwich Police Department executed a search warrant Friday following an investigation into Heroin sales in the Norwich area. 54 year-old Antonio Totten, of Norwich Inn Room #16, at 5688 Route 12, was located in the City of
Norwich at which time a search warrant was executed on him. State Police say Totten was found to be in possession of one vial containing approximately ¼ gram of crack cocaine, $1803.00 in U.S. Currency and a ZTE cell phone. Subsequently a search warrant was executed at the Norwich Inn, Room #16 and state police say the following items were seized during the search: Thirty (30) vials of crack cocaine (approx. 7.5 grams), two (2) wax envelopes containing heroin, brass knuckles, mini-ziplock bag contain approx. .6grams of marihuana, $72.00 in U.S. currency, and two cell phones. Totten was charged with 2 counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 3rd degree, Criminal Possession of a Weapon 4th degree and Unlawful Possession of Marihuana. Totten was arraigned before the Town of Norwich Court, and remanded to the Chenango County Jail in lieu of $100,000 cash bail or $250,000 bond.
