NYSEG to Inspect Natural Gas Line from Air
People shouldn't be alarmed if they see helicopters flying low over NYSEG's Natural gas Transmission Pipeline Rights of Way next week.
The company is inspecting the the line in Oneonta and Norwich, among other regions in the state. Inspection of the Natural Gas Pipeline from the air enables the company to spot and correct vegetation or encroachment issues that may hinder access for maintenance and repair crews.
The assessment is unrelated to the damage caused by Hurricane Sandy. In the event of inclement weather, the inspections will be re-scheduled.
