Nadine Wells grew up in Norwich, NY, went to Ithaca College in central New York, and landed a job near New York City.

She currently lives in Summit, NJ, an area greatly affected and damaged by Hurricane Sandy. It is about an hour's drive north from Atlantic City, which has untold devastation.

Wells experienced a 24-hour power outage, downed trees, 90 mph winds, and described the night Sandy hit as "waves crashing, it was that loud."

It took nearly a day for her to reach out to her family, which still lives in Norwich and the surrounding area. She came onto our Townsquare Media stations to tell her story.
