NYS Police Warn: “Watch Out For Counterfeit Money”

New York State Police report there’s been an increase of counterfeit $100 bills passed in the area since February. Suspects often used large counterfeit bills to make small purchases in order to receive a large amount of change in return for the counterfeit bill. If you suspect any counterfeit activity contact law enforcement with details of the suspects’ appearance and vehicle description including license plate numbers.
