Not Gulity Plea Filed in Local Murder Conspiracy

The Cherry Valley man charged with plotting to kill his estranged wife filed a not guilty plea Monday in Otsego County Court.

Prosecutors say Danny Baldwin tried to hire a hit man to kill both Ricky Gabriel-Baldwin and her boyfriend as the Baldwins were going through divorce proceedings.

Baldwin posted $250,000 bail when he was arrested in March and remained free pending his next court appearance on July 17.
