My Dad is Gone, But His Car Lives On!

This Father's Day weekend my family kept up a longstanding D'Imperio tradition.  They cranked up the old car and took Mom and the kids for a spin.

My Dad, Don D'Imperio, bought this car brand new in 1963.  It was his passion.  It is a 1963 Ford Galaxie 500 convertible, with a tilt-away steering wheel.  It is still going strong, and it sure is a head turner when it comes down the street.  My Mom is now 88-years old and she loves to take a ride in "Dad's car." So every Father's Day the family gets it out and takes her for a spin.

I was on a Big Chuck Bus on Father's Day, but I am glad that the tradition lived on. And as you can see...the car is truly a head turner!
