LOOK WHAT I FOUND!

A Bresee's Health Bar menu dated July 11, 1957! It says "It was originally to be called the "Vita Bar" since "vita" means health." Originally they were concerned about using the word "bar" as they didn't want to offend anyone.. Started with six stools and then twelve then fifty and finally 89 seating places in stools and booths. Construction of the downstairs Health Bar cost $50,000. The busiest day ever was 2,700 diners in one store day!  " All of the "Health Br Girls" are dressed in neat blue and white nylon uniforms and they must each pass a daily inspection."

I only realized much later that the Bresee's restaurant was once up on the first (main) floor!
