Mohawk Valley EDGE Loan Assists Area Business

Rome, NY (WIBX) - Mohawk Valley EDGE has presented a check for $32,500 to a local business to help them expand.

The expansion will allow Joe's Jerky and Nonnie's Country Store to buy more equipment, incease their wholesale distribution and open a new retail store.

Their homemade beef-jerky is sold at over 130 locations, including SavOn's, Nice & Easy's and will soon be available at Byrne Dairy.

The business will be opening a larger store tomorrow on East State Street in Sherrill.

As a finalist in the Mohawk Valley EDGEacceletaror Business Competition, Joe's Jerky and County Store qualified for an Agribusiness loan.
