May 26 Update on COVID-19 Cases in Chenango, Delaware, and Otsego Counties
We continue to keep you updated on confirmed cases in our tri-county region of Central New York. As of May 25, according to The New York State COVID-19 Tracker, the total number of cases in Chenango County is at 119 . Delaware County Public Health is at 72 total confirmed cases and in Otsego County, the number of confirmed COVID-19 cases is at 63.
According to the NYS Department of Health, there are currently 362,764 cases of confirmed COVID-19 in the state with 1249 new cases confirmed statewide yesterday. The good news is that the numbers are continuing to go down across the state.
Please note that the number of confirmed cases may not reflect the actual number of cases because of limited testing for the virus.
