Maria Von Trapp Dies, 99. Last of the “Sound of Music” Children!

Maria Von Trapp has died.  She was 99.  She was the last surviving singing children featured in the Oscar-winning movie "The Sound of Music."

Von Trapp passed away peacefully at the Von Trapp Family Lodge in Stow, Vermont. The family has run a resort there since coming to America more than 50 years ago.  A family cemetery at the lodge is the final resting place of her siblings and parents.
