Members of the Delaware County Sheriff's Office Criminal Investigation Division, assisted by members of the Walton Village Police Department, arrested a 36 year old Walton man on felony drug charges following a “buy-bust” operation at Austin Lincoln Park and the execution of a search warrant at a Mead Street residence. The Sheriff's Office Criminal Investigation Division obtained a search warrant from the Delaware County Court following their investigation of a recent, non-fatal drug overdose associated with heroin being sold from the 28 Mead Street address in the Village of Walton. Searches of Wayne Hancarik and the residence were conducted by Sheriff’s Deputies, Investigators, K-9 “Ozzie” and members of the Walton Village Police Department on Monday evening. At the time of his arrest for selling heroin in Austin Lincoln Park, Hancarik was allegedly found to be in possession of a quantity of heroin and Suboxone, which was not prescribed to him.
