Hey…Do You Live in Big Bone, Pluck City or Clipnocky? THIS WILL SURPRISE YOU!

My friend Marc Bresee sent me an email recently. He had been going through some of the papers of his cousin., Wilmer Bresee (of the department store Bresees). He found something interesting in Wilmer's papers.

He found a listing from maps dated around 1850 that contained the nicknames of all of the communities in Otsego County. What a list. I have no idea how these names found their origins, but they are interesting.
