Harrington Art Gallery Officially Opens in Sidney

Dan Harrington has officially opened his new art gallery in downtown Sidney.  I had the opportunity to visit the gallery last Saturday for the grand opening.  Dan's gallery and business, Harrington Photography, Art and Framing, is a wonderful addition to the downtown business district.  I have been to a lot of art galleries, and Dan's is as fine as any I have seen in Binghamton, Utica or other cities in our Central New York area.  Paintings, sculptures, jewelry and other fine artisan items are on display and for sale.  Prices range from $30.00 to $15,000.

Dan has transformed a storefront many old timers will remember as the Hotel DeCumber Starlight Room Restaurant.  It is on the corner of Main Street and Cartwright Avenue.  The main gallery features highly-polished wood floors and the room has high ceilings, white moveable panel walls, local bluestone window sills and modern indirect lighting.
