This Sunday, June 21st, bring your dad out to enjoy a fun fishing derby for parents and kids at Hodges Pond in Neahwa Park.  This free event is sponsored by Trout Unlimited and offers the use of fishing equipment for those who don't have their own.

Parents and kids must register upon entering the pond. Tickets for free prize drawings will be distributed at registration. Registration to fish starts at 10am.  Fishing in the pond will take place from 11:00 AM until 2:00 PM, after which registered attendees will be asked to assemble in the pavilion. There will be a brief fishing education clinic presented for children by members of Trout Unlimited, followed by drawings for door prizes. Parents and children must register and attend the clinic to be eligible for the door prize drawings. The event will end at 3PM but actual fishing will be halted if there is a threat of lightning. Fishing worms will be provided. Chapter members will be available to assist in the baiting of hooks and release of fish caught. All fish caught must be released back into the pond.
