I first saw this video this morning.  It moved me.

As I watched it, all of the country stars of past, present and forever singing together, my life as a country music DJ actually flashed by me.  I have been lucky enough to be a country music DJ at WDOS in Oneonta a since 1989.  I remember when the new kids on the country block were whippersnappers named Alan Jackson, Vince Gill, Trisha Yearwood and Garth Brooks.

As I watched this tape roll I felt a lump in my throat. As I watched these people sing this beautiful song I realized just how lucky I have been to have brought this great music to my listeners for so many years.  And, I know almost all of the singers here.  Sure many of them are a lot older now, but so am I.  I say I know almost all of them because I will have to admit some of today's young singers and groups are kind of unknown to me.  That is OK, they are the legends of tomorrow.  The "newcomers" some DJ in the future will say they remember presenting to his or her own audience.

So watch this video.  I love all of these performers and I will be honest.  Although I had a lump in my throat the whole time, yes, a tear came down my cheek at 3:27 when I saw dear Ronnie Milsap at the piano.

This is a wonderful tribute to America's music.  I love this video and I hope you will share this with your friends.

And watching it made me realize....country music has been very good to Big Chuck!
