The New York State Department of Health is offering a new tool for people in any zip code in the state to find out what the COVID-19 vaccination rate is. It's pretty handy if you're nervous about going out and about and unsure as to donning a mask or not.

Oneonta 13820: 46%
Walton 13856:  45.4%

Now it's time to get updated on coronavirus case numbers in Chenango, Delaware and Otsego Counties...

Looking at COVID-19 case numbers reported by The Otsego County Department of Health (6/22): there was only one new confirmed case yesterday with 1 person currently hospitalized with complications from the virus.  There are currently only 3 known active cases in the county with a total of 63 COVID-19 related deaths. The Health Dept. has a COVID-19 dashboard with daily updates for the latest information.

To found out about upcoming vaccine clinics, visit www.otsegocounty.com. All clinic appointments are based on first-come, first-served. The next clinic is on June 29 at the Meadows Office Complex outside of Cooperstown. This clinic will distribute the Pfizer vaccine to anyone 12 and older. Click here to register.

Delaware County Health officials have an update from 6/17 (updates are once per week now), reporting 11 active cases as of 6/17/21. At that time, there were 6 people hospitalized. The total number of deaths related to coronavirus complications is currently at 49. Delaware County Public Health is conducting a weekly single dose Janssen (Johnson & Johnson) COVID-19 vaccination clinic every Wednesday at the Delhi Farmer's Market, in front of the health department offices at 99 Main St., Delhi from noon to 2:00 pm. This vaccination clinic is open to all New York state residents or people who work in New York State 18 or older. In Chenango County, the health department reported on Tuesday, June 22, that at that time, there were 6 active cases in the county with 1 hospitalization, and a total of 77 deaths related to the virus.

The county health dept. will announce upcoming clinics on the Chenango County Health Department facebook page. Check it regularly for updates. Participants MUST REGISTER for clinics. Register for an appointment at apps2.health.ny.gov.
