This morning in my segment I call "The Food Calendar" we took a look at Stuckey's. Ever heard of it?
The first time I was introduced to "the South" was in the summer of 1968 when I took a road trip with my guy friends from Sidney High School. We headed to Florida for Spring Break. Somewhere around Virginia we noticed signs for a restaurant named Stuckeys, and for their signature item a "pecan log roll."
It is a weird item but they love it down there. And they have sold millions of pecan log rolls. Listen to my story by clicking here
