COVID-19 Update For The Tri-Counties Feb. 2

Daily new coronavirus cases are on a downward trend now in our region. The Otsego County Department of Health reported yesterday (2/1) that there were 12 new confirmed cases with 14 people currently hospitalized with complications from the virus.  There are currently 146 known active cases in the county with a total of 29 COVID-19 related deaths, 1 new one yesterday. The Health Dept. has a COVID-19 dashboard with daily updates for the latest information.

Delaware County Health officials have an update from yesterday (2/1), reporting only 4 new cases yesterday with 101 active and there are 18 people hospitalized. In Chenango County, the health department reported new COVID-19 stats for 2/1 on their facebook page. There are currently 165 active cases, 22 hospitalizations related to the virus, and the total number of deaths related to COVID-19 complications are now at 45.
