Country music legend Slim Whitman has died at the age of 90.  The Country Music Hall of Fame superstar has been cited by everyone from Michael Jackson to Garth Brooks to Paul McCartney as a musical inspiration.

In 1955 his #1 single "Rose Marie" stayed at the top of the charts in the UK for more than 11 weeks.  That record would hold for nearly forty years.  Whitman was a pioneer in mass marketing his music on late-night television cable infomercials.

His precise yodeling technique and his high pitched falsetto made his sound unmistakable around the world.

This was his most popular American song.....do you remember it?
