A 1996 Cooperstown Central School graduate was nominated for a national Book Award for the novel Fates and Furies. Lauren Groff is currently on a three-month tour to support the book which Amazon has it on its best books of September list. And it was listed at No. 12 Tuesday in literary fiction and No. 20 in literary e-books. Groff will find out if she wins on November 18th at the National Book Awards Ceremony and Benefit Dinner in New York City.
