Baseball Hall  of Famer Earl Weaver has died at age 82.  He spent his entire 17-year managerial career with the Baltimore Orioles.

Weaver was a wily manager, a builder of great men with great careers and a man who knew when he had to play his bench.  He was also known for his fiery antics on the playing field.  Weaver got ejected from 91 baseball games, including once getting ejected from both ends of a doubleheader and twice getting ejected before the games actually started!

Weaver was a popular personality in Cooperstown where he appeared frequently following his induction into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1996.  He died while traveling on a cruise ship with the Baltimore Oriole Fantasy Cruise Vacation.

Here is a clip that is Classic "Duke of Earl!"
