The Schoharie County Department of Health reports a skunk found on Shady Tree Lane in Cobleskill tested positive for rabies. The skunk was sent to Wadsworth Laboratory for testing and the positive test results were received on Thursday. It’s not known if any pets or humans were exposed to the skunk. New York law requires dog, cat and ferret owners to keep their animals current on rabies vaccinations.
