Chenango County SPCA Recieves Funding

The Chenango County SPCA has received a gift of $10,000 from the Francis J. and Elizabeth Brisson Macksey Charitable Trust, and another $20,000 from the Greater Norwich Foundation.

The grants will go to the in-house spay and neuter program for the shelter animals.  Veterinarian Caitlin McIntosh and vet tech Codie Smith of the New Berlin Veterinary Clinic will donate their services to perform spay and neuter surgeries on shelter animals up for adoption. The program will fight against over-population of animals and ensure that more animals will have a chance to be adopted.
