Buster Brown Turns 110 Years Old!

The iconic childrens shoe company began in 1875 and the cartoon characters of the little sailor boy and his dog ("Tige") came around in 1902.  The characters became one of the most recognizable corporate logos of the  20th-Century.

The name "Buster" came from the popular actor of silent movies, Buster Keaton.  The boy and the dog became successful movie, comic book and cartoon characters.

The company today, known as Brown Shoes Co., has revenues of 2.3-billion dollars and employs more than 13,000 people in its 1,400 stores.

So the ten year old sailor boy is now 102-years old.  And the dog..how old is he in "dog years?"
