In an assuming middle class neighborhood of Houston you are startled out of your seat when you come around a corner and see this!  Actually you hear it first.  Just the high pitched tinny sound of little pieces of metal tinkling together in the afternoon breeze.  And then you notice it.  A house made out of beer cans!

The Beer Can House is now an odd roadside attraction in Houston.  It was started by John Milkovisch in 1968.  He once stated "he got sick of mowing the lawn" so he covered the ground around his modest 2 story home with cement.  Then he proceeded to cover the house, grounds, walls, garage, sidewalks...everything with beer cans. And beer bottles, beer caps and just about anything you can imagine.

Take a look at this video I shot of Houston's Beer Can House.  Oh, and don't bother to count the cans.  Somebody already did that for us.  50,000 beer cans!  After the video take a look at what the house looked like in 1968 before and cans were added!
