Houston is as flat as a pancake.

You have to get to the eastern reaches of the famous Hill Country before you will start to see anything that remotely resembles a contour in the landscape.  It has often been said that the highest altitudes in Houston for drivers is when they traverse a freeway overpass.

The Williams Tower, at 64-stories tall, is the largest office building located outside a business district in the U.S.  It reaches for the clouds just outside the freeway loop which encircles the city.  The tower is amazing in itself but it is what is in front of the tower that draws a constant stream of visitors.

The Williams Tower Waterwall was built in 1983.  It is perhaps the tallest man made waterfall in the northern hemisphere.  It soars 64-feet into the sky, reflecting the 64-stories of its neighboring building.  When you walk inside it you are completely surrounded by a cascading waterfall which defies description.  The water is flowing both on the inside and outside of the structure.  It recycles its entire self-contained water supply of 78,000 gallons every three hours.

Take a look at this video.  Some call it Houston's very own Niagara.  Well, not quite.  But it is an incredible sight!
