Big Chuck Meets Doc Knapp, a Local Legend! (AUDIO)

Well, Doc's ears must have been burning.

For the last two days we have been talking nonstop about the vandalism attack on Doc Knapp Field over the weekend.  Several times yesterday, during our radiothon which raised more than $10,000 to help rebuild the facilities, I said on the air, "Who the heck is Doc Knapp and why haven't I ever met him?"  Well, lo and behold look who strolled into my studio this morning.  The man, the legend himself.  Doc Knapp!

He came to present a check towards the rebuilding of "his" baseball field on behalf of his friends at the Elm Park Methodist Church Meals on Wheels program.
