Big Chuck Asks: ‘Does a Penny Buy Anything Anymore?’

In my day a penny could go a long way, especially at the penny candy counter!  But does a penny get you anything today?

Imagine my surprise when I was in Office Max in Oneonta yesterday and there it was...a price sign that read ONE PENNY!  It was attached to a bin of pencils.  Now, maybe that doesn't seem odd to you, but it made me think::  when was the last time I saw a sign that read "1 cent?"

It certainly has been a while.....
