Bassett Offering More Free Asymptomatic COVID-19 Testing in Cooperstown
If you have NO symptoms whatsoever of COVID-19, even the tiniest sniffle, but you'd like to be tested for COVID-19 to find out if you're carrying the virus, then there's a free opportunity from Bassett Healthcare Network in partnership with the New York State Department of Health that's coming up. On February 17 and 24, from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. at Bassett Medical Center's Cooperstown Outpatient Clinic (1 Atwell Road, Cooperstown), you can get a free COVID-19 rapid test as long as you have no symptoms of the virus which would include: fever, chills, sore throat, runny nose, cough, shortness of breath, muscle aches, diarrhea, severe headache, or loss of taste/smell.
Appointments are required. Call ahead to make an appointment to 607-547-7973.
If you don't qualify for a rapid COVID-19 test, Bassett is offering COVID-19 tests for anyone who fits the following criteria:
• Have symptoms of infection (fever, chills, sore throat, runny nose, cough, shortness of breath, muscle aches, diarrhea, severe headache, or loss of taste/smell)
• Patients who require testing prior to a medical procedure
• Employees with suspected COVID-19 exposure
If you believe you have symptoms of the coronavirus and need to be tested, please call Bassett's COVID-19 central phone line at 607-547-5555. If it is determined that you meet the criteria for testing at a Bassett location, you will be given an appointment.
