Baby Boomer Alert: Who Remembers Tom Terrific and Mighty Manfred the Wonder Dog? (VIDEO)

He was just a simple little line drawing on the Captain Kangaroo morning kids show.  Tom Terrific lived in a tree house and could change himself into any configuration he wanted.

The short would run in five minute segments on Captain Kangaroo initially from 1957 to 1959.  Tom's trusty companion was Mighty Manfred the Wonder Dog.

When you watch this clip below, imagine how mesmerized we all were by it back when we were kids a million years ago.  Try and sit one of today's kids in front of it now and tell them 'to enjoy it."
