Jim Lange, a radio broadcast legend who hosted the popular Dating Game show for over a decade, has died at the age of 81.

Lange made his name and fame as a legendary California radio DJ in the Los Angeles and San Francisco markets.  He was on the air for an astonishing 45 years.  In 1962 he began exploring television when he was hired as the on-air announcer for the Tennessee Ernie Ford Show.

While Lange became well known as the friendly host of the top rated Dating Game for 10 years, he also hosted Triple Threat, Bullseye, $100,000 Name That Tune, and Give-and-Take.
