Mike Douglas was a constant "afternoon companion" to all Baby Boomers!

His afternoon show aired weekday afternoons starting in 1963.  Mike was unusual in that he would have a co-host that would stay on his show for the entire week.  These co-hosts included Bing Crosby, John and Yoko Lennon, Martha Mitchell, Kate Smith, Jimmy Stewart, Lucille Ball and Bob Hope.

Mike was also a singer of great fame.  He started with the Kay Kyser Big Band and was even featured as the voice of Prince Charming in the Disney animated classic Cinderella.  In 1966 he scored hi only Top Forty hit with "The Men in My Little Girl's Life."

It was always comforting to know that when you got home from school in, say, 1964, that Mike Douglas would be on the TV waiting to entertain you.
