Baby Boomer Alert: How Many Remember Laverne And Shirley? (VIDEO)

Thirty years ago we said goodbye to two of our favorite sitcom gals, Laverne and Shirley.

Many people forget that this show was actually a spinoff from the it Happy Days.  Cindy Williams and Penny Marshall could not have been more different.  Laverne DeFazio (Marshall) was the tomboy daughter of Italian immigrants from Brooklyn, N.Y.  Feeney (Williams) was the perky "perfect" one, the daughter of Irish parents.

They both worked in the fictitious Shotz Brewery in Milwaukee.  Cyndi Grecco sang the opening theme song and it was released as a single in 1976.

The song peaked at #26 on January 15, 1976 making Cyndi Grecco a true one hit wonder!
