Osmond was already a seasoned child actor when in 1957, at the age of 14, he went on an audition for a one shot appearance as Wally Cleaver's best friend on the hit television show Leave it to Beaver.  He got the role and so impressed the directors (and the audience) that he was asked to stay.  He appeared on almost every episode thereafter, for six seasons.

Osmond retired from acting and joined the Los Angeles police fore in 1970.  He served with distinction on the force for 18 years, retiring in 1988.

The Eddie Haskell character is so iconic with Baby Boomers that he even appeared in modern-day commercials!  Take a look.
