Baby Boomer Alert: An UNKNOWN Col. Sanders Appears on “What’s My Line” (VIDEO)
In 1965 my Dad introduced pressure fried chicken to our hometown, Sidney. He bought a new-fangled pressure cooker and sold a lot of it. It was great chicken, and I should know. I ate my share of it!
Of course Col. Harlan Sanders and his Kentucky Fried Chicken would make pressure-fried chicken a mainstay on the American menus. We all loved the Colonel didn't we? Take a look at this rare video.
Col. Sanders makes a guest appearance in 1963 on television's "What's My Line." It is hard to imagine such a (now) recognizable figure could ever have been an unknown. This is from 1963 and they can't guess him even though THEY ARE LOOKING AT HIM!
I honestly cannot remember ever seeing Col. Sanders on TV other than his ubiquitous commercials for his "finger lickin' good" product. Can you?
