Actor Omar Sharif has died.  He made more than 50 movies.

The Academy Award nominee was born in Egypt and was cast as the lead in several memorable films including Lawrence of Arabia and Dr. Zhivago for which he won the Best Actor Golden Globe Award for both.  He also notably co-starred with Barbra Streisand in the 1968 musical Funny Girl.
