All of This For a Simple Cup of Coffee? Really?

A listener sent me this photo of "the old way to make a cup of coffee."

Really?

I was never a coffee drinker until I was in my thirties so I missed this contraption.  I don't even know what all those parts are for!

Do you remember this?  Oh, and someday, will another generation take a look at our push button, one-step Keurig coffee makers and ask, "All that for a simple cup of coffee?"
