The State Attorney General’s office clears a Cobleskill police officer in the death of a man who was run over in 2018. A report stated there was no evidence of wrongdoing by Officer Christopher Sniffen who was on Route 7 in pursuit of a driver when he struck Gerard Roldan III. Sniffen told investigators Roldan was wearing dark clothing and by the time he saw Roldan it wasn’t possible to take evasive action. The AG did offer recommendations to Cobleskill Police to help avoid a similar incident.
