Oneonta Porch Pirate Nabbed

According to Troop C New York State Police, it was footage from a video doorbell that helped catch a man stealing packages from homes in Oneonta’s west end. A witness spotted the suspect last Friday on Jefferson Avenue and according to investigators Andrew Van Dusen of Gilbertsville was in possession of the packages reported stolen along with some that had just been delivered and hadn’t been reported stolen yet. Van Dusen now faces multiple felony charges. One of the packages was damaged but everything else was returned to the rightful owners.
