
31 Counties to Allow Some Fireworks This Year…But NOT Us
The New York State legislature has OK'd small fireworks for this year's July 4th home celebrations. Sparklers, party poppers, fireworks fountains and some small ground based fireworks are the only types allowed.
Not all counties have signed on to this new rule, however. 31 counties have OK'd them so far including:
- Essex
- Chemung
- Orange
- Saratoga
- Washington
- Montgomery
- Cattaragus
- Putnam
- Herkimer
- Fulton
- Yates
- Dutchess
- Schuyler
- Warren
- Madison
- Rensselaer
- Ulster
- Allegany
- Niagara
- St. Lawerence (Public Hearing to confirm vote on 6/1)
- Lewis
- Franklin
- Schenectady
- Steuben
- Wayne
- Greene
- Sullivan
- Livingston
- Clinton
