3 Arrested in Delaware County on Drug Charges
Early Wednesday afternoon, the Delaware County Sheriff's Office Criminal Investigation Division, upon completion of a criminal drug investigation, obtained a Search Warrant for a County Highway 23 property and home in the Town of Walton. Deputies and investigators seized ten marijuana plants, a quantity of processed marijuana, a video surveillance system, growing equipment, firearms and public assistance benefit cards from the residence of 47 year old Michael Spencer and 39 year old Toni Spencer. During their search of a garage on the premises, Deputies and Investigators noted that the interior dimensions of the garage appeared noticeably smaller than its exterior and subsequently discovered a clandestine room that deputies say was being used for the indoor propagation, cultivation and processing of marijuana. After the search, both Spencer's were arrested along with 18 year old Bradley Jackson for Criminal Possession of Marijuana in the Second Degree and Unlicensed Cultivation of Cannabis. They are each charged with growing and possessing more than sixteen ounces of marijuana. All three were arraigned in the Town of Walton Court and were remanded to the Delaware County Correctional Facility in lieu of $10,000 cash bail.
