A man and a woman are facing charges for passing bad checks at a North Norwich business. Police say Marshall Smith of West Winfield and Christina Clifford of Edmeston used checks from a closed account to but items from the business on an unspecified date. Both were taken into custody last week and each now faces forgery, larceny and conspiracy charges. They were released on their own recognizance pending a future court date.
