The 2019 Life of the Mind (LOTM) Faculty Showcase will take place Wednesday, November 13, from noon to 5 p.m. and Thursday, November 14, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Morris Conference Center.

The LOTM spotlights the teaching, research and scholarship, creative activity, service, and varied integrated contributions made by faculty to the academic/intellectual life of the campus and beyond through posters, computer displays, and other exhibits. The event will showcase 50+ projects representing the work of 96 faculty, staff and student authors/co-authors from 26 different departments and eight collaborating institutions.

The full LOTM program, including presentation abstracts, is available on the LOTM website. Plan to visit the showcase to learn about the interesting projects and activities being carried out across the disciplines, and to support your colleagues. And, please encourage students in your classes to visit the showcase! Refreshments will be available throughout the event.

As part of the LOTM event, an “Open Access to SUNY Scholarship” information session/discussion, open to all, will be offered on Wednesday, November 13, at 10 a.m. in 104 Morris Conference Center. The session will describe how an institutional open access policy works, and detail myriad open access resources, including: DOAJ, PLoS, Humanities Commons, Sherpa/RoMEO, ArXiv and more!
