A new project at SUNY Delhi is aimed at increasing business.

While other SUNY colleges work with surrounding communities to promote new businesses, SUNY Delhi is restricted in that sense because of its close proximity to the New York City watershed, which supplies water to 12 million residents downstate.

The SUNY Delhi project involves taking waste water from the Delhi waste water treatment facility and recycling it through an irrigation system on the Delhi golf course.

This would free up the waste water system to handle another 200,000 gallons every day, making more room for two manufacturers in Delaware County to expand their businesses.
