Summit Man Accused of Stealing $10,000 from Bowling League
State Police in Cobleskill have arrested Charles A. Bowen, 50, of Summit in Schoharie County for felony grand larceny after he was accused of stealing money from his bowling league.
Bowen, the treasurer for the Cobleskill Bowling League, was responsible for collecting membership dues from September 2013 to April 2014. After league officers noticed that bills were unpaid due to insufficient funds, an investigation was sparked. It is alleged that Bowen took almost $10,000 for his personal use.
Bowen was arrigned before a Cobleskill Justice and remanded to the Schoharie County Jail.
